Discover Tri-State Warbirds Museum
Keep Flying
While working in the back yard at my previous house, I would frequently see WW2 airplanes circling. It was very cool and very surreal. It took a while before I realized how very special our local Tri-State Warbirds Museum truly is.
Tri-State Warbird Museum in Cincinnati Ohio
It is a small gem of a museum that specializes in World War II era planes. They have both American and German planes that still fly (or are being restored to fly). In addition, they complement the museum with a litany of jeeps, motorcycles, and cars from that time long ago.
The most remarkable think about the museum is that everything flies or is in the process of being restored.
My First Visit
During my second year as Cub Scout den leader, I took my Wolves to visit. They opened special for us and gave us a great group rate. The volunteers were great and knew what interests 8 year old boys. They let the boys climb up in a few the planes and for a memorable first hand experience.
Keep Going Back
While most things do not change from visit to visit, yet, I do get something out of each visit I have made there.
“Cockpit Days” are always the best. But sometimes, it’s neat to hear the stories of visiting vets. I wish my grandfather could have visited.
